ChipSociety - one more poker social network

Social networks are opened almost daily. One of them survive through years while others die or is lefto in agony for some time. Actually I do not know if ChipSociety will stand against its powerful competitors. So far it seems to have only fake members and 0 blogs. Even admin does not write here, so who will be the first? ;)

Quite nice features are not used well. For example CHipSociety has got internal groops by brand fans and events. They can be helpful for lots of members, but when I see 50 members it is obvious, that there is nothiung to do in any of the groups.

How the situation can be changed? Just hard work gathering some members. I would organize a few contests with a possibility to win $50 for best comment, blog and most active week in groups. Some people would take that chance to earn some mone. Others who come in accidentaly will immediately notice, that this poker social network is active and would register.

Also there should be some announcements in social media, asking some most popular bloggers to review the social network (not for free if they get confused about the quality of the site). There are plenty of other actions which can be taken to promote ChipSociety and make it one of the best poker social networks.


Now it looks like it is dying :(

New iPhone game - Poker Invaders

One of the classic games which will never die is probably Space Invaders with its thousands of versions. One of the most popular was Chicken Invaders, but now we have a new one called Poker Invaders. Aliens are the same - angry and thirsty of cow blood, therefore we, humans, need to defend the Earth from ords of landing alien invaders.

The game is for iPhone and hopefully iPad users. Poker invaders is yet to be launched soon, so do not miss it.

Mini Tycoon Casino - No. 1 iPhone game

It seems that social games are not going to end. Now the cafe-manager type of social games get more and more interesting scenarios. According to TechCrunch article, No 1. iPhone social game now is Mini Tycoon Casino.

\\the game is just like others - collecting coins over the time. Coins vanishes if overdue. Expanding your enterprice buying new equipement, decoration etc. That looks like popular Zynga's Cafe World or PlayFish Restaurant City games.

Poker application for Android phone

The future belongs to Android OS and devices with this operating system - mainly planchette computers (iPad, Samsung Galaxy etc). The developers of various poker applications perfectly understands that an their primary target is to create a cool and nice poker apps.

One of the most popular Android poker app is Texas Holdem King 3. The grafics are not very sophisticated, but the number of downloads says that it is worth to try.

This application also allows playing against live players rather than AI of the application.

There are some more options in the market. Poker applications for Android are free, but some are already paid. We are at the start of huge business. In next 2 years the world will be filled with Android devices, so these applications may bring lots of users and profit to the creators and developers.

WPT launches Facebook poker application

Here comes the N’th poker application in Facebook. This time WPT decided to grab a piece of multi-million social gaming market by introducing a new poker application simply called WPT Texas Hold’em.

It has nothing to do with former WPT poker room or new owners of the brand – PartyGaming.

So far the app has 175K monthly users and increasing. Anyway Zynga Poker is the biggest and still can share it’s market piece to small challengers like this one.

iPad Poker application launched

The newest tech geek toy iPad has already got its first poker application. It comes together with a handy app called Game Table on April 3rd, 2010.



Poker is just one of the games besides chess and checkers. This iPad application costs $0.99, so it’s really affordable. There is no more details about the game, but it seems quite interesting if players will be able to fold or through away chips with finger touch.

Hopefully it will reveal a new touchscreen experience for poker players.

Zynga launches new poker game – Poker Blitz

The World is not enough for Zynga. 3rd most popular Zynga’s game Zynga Poker now has a little brother – flash game Poker Blitz. This is a fast poker game against the house where player must collect as much money as possible over period of time. Of course the game is full of various achievements to be considered a real social game.

So far Poker Blitz game can be played in Facebook.

According to AppData, Poker Blitz has already reached 750K users this month and will be growing.
